Albert Freeland Store (1911)

Located on Dezauche Lane

The grocery store sold everything from seeds to farm equipment and a dentist occupied one of the upstairs rooms. It was run by the Van Amburg family in the 1960's and the Harper family until 1975.

Proposed use of this building will be an extension of the Grand Bay Museum with displays of Grand Bay memorabilia, an old country store gift shop and cafe.

Plans include holding outdoor Market Days, town gatherings, cultural and public events on the adjacent land.
